My plan for the weekend!!!

Hi guys,
have you been wondering what the hell your English teacher is planning to do at the weekend? Well, the thing is I was ashamed to tell you face to face but here, hidden behind the intimacy of the Internet, I can tell you:

I'm going to take part in a Scalextric competition in Cheste! I'm going to drive a Porsche 997, a car I'd like to have but I can only afford the small version.

My beginnings in slot car racing date back from when I was a child. I was 5 years old when my father bought me a track with two Tyrrel Ford Formula One cars. I have very nice memories of this game, playing with my father and having a great time.

Today, everytime I see the car I got when I was 5 years old, I remember him, so it makes me feel great. apart from the feelings, slot car racing is an adventure full of adrenaline, especially for those who cannot afford to race in real cars!

Please have a look at the following video and you'll see what I'm talking about:

Well, I expect your comments. I'll tell you about my final position on Monday!

Enjoy the weekend,
Vincent (Hamilton)

Amazing! You have really surprised me!! :)))
I knew you were a fan of Scalextric but no so much dedicated.

I have a doubt respect to some Scalextric tracks. For example, when you drive the car over the tracks which are in the snow, do they are slippery? I ask that because there are many Scalextric freaks and they are able to do anything!!

Well, enjoy it and good luck!!!

Are they silppery, you ask?

Yes, they are. It depends on the kind of track they use but in general they are.

I supposed the white ones on the snowy zone were more slippery than usual, weren't they? That's my exact question ;)
