Norbert Rosing is a German photographer and he was in Hudson Bay in Canada when he saw a big polar bear near his dogs. He was afraid of it because he thought it was going to be the end of his dogs but the polar bear only wanted to play with them. I think pictures are beautiful and they represent a big lesson for us. How to Post a Comment?

From time to time people in class ask me about how to post a comment on the blog. You have several possibilities but I'm going to comment on you the easiest. At the bottom of every post you have something like this:

What you have to do is click on "X comentarios" and a pop-up will appear. A pop-up is a little window ;) . Going back to the previous image, imagine we click on "0 comentarios". The pop-up to appear would be this:

What you have to do now is click on the option "Nombre/URL" and something like this will appear:

Now fill in the field "Nombre" with any name you want to you. The field "URL" is optional as you can see. This field is useful for people who, for example, have a web page. Imagine I fill in these fields. It would stay something like this:

The only thing you have to do now is to write your comment above. If you want, you can also write the comment first and do what I have explained later. The last thing to do is click on the button "Publicar Comentario". Do you want to practice it right now? Leave a comment ;) .

Moral: Practice makes perfect.

My First Post

Hi everybody!!!

I write just to say hello and to compose my first article on this blog. I don't have anything special to comment because my weekend has been too bored.

Anyway I want to talk you about two websites that I discovered and can be very useful for all of us.

The first one is about phone calls. As I may you know, when, as a customer, you phone to a number started by 900 you are paying a higher rate tan normal. Well, these lines are normal lines and have an equivalent number NOT started by 900. So, if you call to this equivalent number you'll pay a standard rate. And the question is "how to know the equivalent telephone number?". If you visit the site www.nomasnumeros900.com you can look for the cheap phone number. You only have to write the number started by 900 and click "Buscar". If you're lucky the site will return you the equivalent number but maybe the database doesn't have this 900 number. In this case I'm sorry. Anyway it's better to try.

The second site I wanted to talk you about was another blog that is called www.laelite-pirate.blogspot.com. I think it's very interesting. There's plenty of tvo series to practise our listening and oral comprehension in a funny way.

Dedicated to Juanma

Last wednesday, practicing conversation in class, Juanma told me something about two little kittens that touched him. I don't remember the story exactly but, from my old files, I ve just recovered a video to dedicate it to him. Enjoy it Juanma!

The Plot

Two people raised a lion cub and he was named "Christian". He became very big to be kept for those people, so they decided to let him in freedom to live as a wild lion.

One year later they travelled to the natural reserve where the lion was. They were told that the lion wouldn't remember them. The video was taken in the moment they met.

Four seasons in one day

Hi, guys!

When I went to Scotland my friends, Sean and Vera, told me
about the scottish weather. Vera is from Canary Islands and now lives
in Scotland and said: "In Scotland, there are four seasons in one
day". I remembered that there is a song with this title.

The last class we talked about feelings. In my opinion, this song

Formula 1 Weekend Ahead

Do you think Alonso can make it again in China? Did you see the race last weekend? Here's a link to the official F1 website where you can get an opinion about the messy start and other collisions.

On the other hand, in my opinion, Alonso is a fantastic driver, but from the point of view of a sport fan and not from the point of view of a Spanish hooligan, I believe that Hamilton is going to be the best drivers in the decade and he'll win several championships for sure.

If you saw his career in the GP2 series, you'll agree with me that it was outstanding, with spectacular overtakings and wins from P17 to P1. Absolutely wonderful. A very different thing is his mouth. Sometimes he should be quiet. Just as Alonso should.

Hi Everybody!!

I’ve never written in a blog before, so I don’t know very well what to say. I just want to say that I think it’s good to have one, and It would be funny if everybody wrote on it. And, of course, to give thanks to Peter because I suppose it takes you a long time, but it’s fantastic!

Oh, I also have to tell Vicent and Juan Daniel happy birthday… yes, I know it was some days ago, but then I didn’t know how to use the blog yet. My birthday was last month and I was thirty!! … but I don’t mind, because this has been one of the best year in my life… at least, the most important one… you know: my baby! I’m very boring with this, I know, I’m always talking about her, but I’m sure you won’t be able to stop talking about your babies in a few months.

Well, I’m going to think in an interest topic to talk you about the next time I write, ok?

More things to explain

As yesterday I saw faces which made me to think that some people didn't get the idea of how a blog works ;) , I'm going to explain things as they are appearing.

I have just posted a text sent by Lorena. At the end of the post you can see the label "Etiquetas", in fact they're labels but... How do they work? It's easy. The labels are useful to know what a post is about. For example, imagine somebody writes something about climate change. We can add a label named "climate change" and if somebody wants to read all posts about climate change in the blog, the only thing he/she has to do is to click in a label "climate change" in any post. When you do that, the computer will show you all posts with the label "climate change".

In the case of Lorena's last post, she has the labels "Lorena Ahicart" and "Listening". When we have many more posts, I hope, the only thing you will have to do to see all Lorena's posts will be to click on the label "Lorena Ahicart".

I leave an example of how labels are shown.

Our First Post

As you can see this is the first post of the blog. The blog is opened to everybody in class. If you have never visited a blog, you  have to know that you can post comments for giving your ideas or opinions about what is written. At the same time, if you have any interest on any subject, the only thing you have to do is to prepare the text, sign it and send it to me.
